About Me
I grew up in a small town called Agartala, in Tripura, India. I completed my Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry from Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) College, followed by a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry from Tripura University. I then earned my Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, India.
After my Ph.D., I worked as a Research Staff member at the Laboratory for Zero-Carbon Energy, Institute of Innovative Research, Tokyo Institute of Technology, under the supervision of Prof. Yoichi Murakami (from May 2024 to August 2024).
Currently, I am serving as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow at the same laboratory within the Institute of Science Tokyo (formerly known as Tokyo Institute of Technology). Here, I am leading the development of 3D Covalent Organic Frameworks (3D COFs) for highly selective COâ‚‚ capture.
My research focuses on enhancing the fundamental adsorption performance of these materials and enabling their practical application by integrating them into modular, scalable systems. This involves assessing their stability under operational conditions and exploring strategies for technology transfer from the laboratory to pilot-scale applications, aiming to overcome the limitations of current Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technologies.
